Hailing from Turtle Creek, PA, Chuck's singing career began while still in high school with a group named The Val-Aires. Found on a street corner singing a cappella, the guys signed a major label deal in 1965 that would change his life forever. Since his passion began, Chuck has become a well-known legend in Pittsburgh,USA and Internationally. Exemplified to this day by the fan mail he continues to receive from around the world. He is the ONLY member of the Original group who has kept the name alive since it's inception. In May 2024, Chuck will be celebrating his 59th year in show business and is the ONLY PERFORMER today to lay claim to this fame!
His career has taken him to the television stages of The Ed Sullivan Show, The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson, Dick Clark's Bandstand, The Mike Douglas Show, The Red Skelton Show, Hullabaloo, and many others. He has performed in the company of many famous artists and actors including Bob Hope, Johnny Mathis, Glenn Campbell, John Denver, Bob Newhart, and comic Leslie Nielson in Los Angeles.
In the year 2000, Chuck received recognition from the United States Senate, the 106th Congress of the United States, and then Governor Tom Ridge of Pennsylvania for 35 years in show business. He was also honored in 1995 by SOC, and Life Time Achievement Award from PORCC, United States Olympics, and Special Forces. He also received a Proclamation from the City of Pittsburgh on February 1, 1994 from then Mayor, Tom Murphy, for the positive exposure he has brought to the City of Pittsburgh through his music.
Today, Chuck still loves doing what he does best and that is performing and entertaining. He enjoys talking with fans before and after their shows. His shows continue to please the crowds with a variety of music for fans and people of all ages. He is amazed to see the younger generation come to his shows and know the songs he made famous. With the groups many talented and versatile members, they are one of the best groups around and sure to please for your next event.
A heartfelt "Thank You" to Volkswagon for using our song " Turn Around Look at Me" in their National TV Commercial ad for the Volkswagon Tiguan. Also, to Warner Bros. Entertainment for the re-released Drew Carey Show and our hit song, 5'Oclock World.
